Australian Football League Signs Learning Seat to Help Educate Staff

The Australian Football League (AFL) today announced it would implement a national online education program for its staff.

Managed by online training and compliance management company, Learning Seat, the courses aim to address a wide range of training requirements such as professional development, business compliance, business and management training and safety compliance.

Each of the programs designed for the AFL will be fully customised. AFL General Manager of Human Resources, Christina Ogg, said the AFL took staff development extremely seriously.

“It is a huge priority for us to continually educate our staff with ongoing professional development courses and keep them up to date with the latest industry insights.

“Learning Seat is able to provide us with high class online training and has already been working in the football industry as part of a partnership with the Collingwood Football Club,” she said.

The chief executive officer of Learning Seat, Michael Solomon, welcomed the partnership with the AFL.

“The AFL is one of the most influential sporting organisations in Australia. We are proud to be offering our training and compliance services to a company dedicated to educating its staff in the most time efficient, practical and cost-effective way.”

Earlier this year, Learning Seat signed a strategic alliance with leading Australian law firm Clayton Utz to develop and deliver Learning Seat's program of legal compliance management courses.
