Bloomin’ hell - most can’t remember the last time they received flowers

GetPrice’s spring flower survey finds forlorn Aussies want to receive more flowers Australia’s leading independent comparison shopping site, GetPrice.com.au, today announced that the majority of participants in a spring flower survey can’t remember the last time they received flowers, despite 75 percent saying they enjoyed receiving fresh blooms.

GetPrice’s chief executive officer, Chris Hitchen, said the survey also found that one quarter of participants were forced to buy flowers for themselves.

“It seems many Australians are forced to buy flowers for themselves,” he said.

“The message is clear – buy your loved one some flowers!”

Mr Hitchen said it was easier than ever to pick out a fresh bunch of flowers – all it took was ten minutes online to visit an online store, pick out a bunch and have them delivered to a loved one.

He said most survey participants bought their flowers online because it was more convenient than visiting a florist.

“Just a few clicks of the mouse and you’ll make someone’s day,” he said.

72 percent of survey participants were women, suggesting Aussie blokes need to lift their game in the flower department. “

It’s clear that Aussie women can’t get enough flowers,” Mr Hitchen said.

“C’mon guys, it’s easy, not too expensive and your partner will love you for it.” Flowers from various online retailers can be compared at www.getprice.com.au.
