Learning Seat Receives Top Industry Recognition

Online training and compliance management provider, Learning Seat has been awarded ‘Best Hosted Learning Management System (LMS)’ and, for its Heinz Employee Induction program, ‘Best Employee Induction’ at the 2009 LearnX eLearning and Training Awards.

The awards, Asia Pacific’s only independent awards program for learning and development companies, recognise the most effective and innovative projects and products in workplace learning and assessment.

The chief executive officer of Learning Seat, Michael Solomon said he was delighted that the company’s work had earned industry recognition.

“To not only win one category, but to be the Platinum winner of two categories is a fantastic achievement and a real testament to the great Learning Seat team.”

(The LearnX awards feature different gradations of winners, with a Platinum Award being the highest honour in a category.)

“I’m particularly pleased that we’ve won the ‘Best Hosted Learning Management System (LMS)’, a category judged by actual users of LMS. This demonstrates that our clients really appreciate the strength of our products and value the benefits they provide.”

The Heinz Employee Induction program was launched in October 2008, having been developed to establish a clear and consistent understanding of the company’s business goals, strategies and values.

After just a few months, anecdotal evidence suggests that the program has been extremely well received by new Heinz employees.

Rob Clark, LearnX Awards event organiser said: “With a bumpy economic year ahead, there will be tough decisions and challenges for many e-learning and training professionals. The awards highlight how the corporate, education and public service sectors see training as a major strength in driving increased productivity, reducing costs and building staff confidence in these uncertain times."

Mr Solomon will accept the awards at the LearnX Asia Pacific E-Learning & Training Solutions International Conference & Expo at the Sydney and Exhibition Centre in Darling Harbour on 2 April 2009.

Learning Seat supports more than 250,000 users across Australia and overseas, increasing by an average of 7,000 users per month. Other clients include corporate and industry bodies in the fields of retail, government, real estate, leisure, recruitment and education.
