Written by Justine Davies, ‘The Money Mum’ will explore the everyday struggles mothers face when it comes to parenting and finances. The blog will sit within the news.com.au money section.

“A lot of financial information out there is written in pretty dry terms. But love it or loathe it, dealing with money is a fact of life for all of us.” ‘The Money Mum’ explains.

“Financial stress is one of the biggest killers of relationships in Australia and it’s often not the big picture issues that cause the stress, it’s the day-to-day juggling of money, kids, work and home-life.

“I want to show people how to make the most of their money so they can work less and still have more in the pocket at the end of the day.”

Kate Perry, money editor, news.com.au said that Justine’s blog fills a wide gap in the current section: “Already providing our readers with the most comprehensive business and finance information, news.com.au/money needed a blog to help time-poor Australian families understand the financial issues that affect them and in the easiest way possible.”

The ‘The Money Mum’ aims to create an online community of parents who can freely talk about their finances, ask questions, debate topics and provide support to each other through the ups and downs of day-to-day parenting and work.

Justine is an experienced financial planner and advisor and mother-of-three. Prior to her role at news.com.au, Justine was a regular contributor to Fairfax Digital’s Essential Baby website.
