News Digital Media Launches Unqiue Online Video Advertising Product
The chief commercial officer of News Digital Media, Ed Smith, today announced the launch of a powerful, new interactive video-capable advertising solution across the News Digital Media network.
The unit consists of a video player, along with a fully customisable interactive panel, which can be utilised to run up to three pieces of supporting content. This content could include additional videos, sales calls-to-actions, games, booking engines or downloads.
Unlike existing pop-up market-offerings, the product is fully integrated into the page and does not interrupt the user experience or devalue other advertising spots.
Mr Smith said that the interactive nature of the video player highlighted the advantages of online advertising over other mediums and would facilitate the movement of TV advertising to online.
“Unlike traditional linear TV advertising, this unit fully engages the reader, empowering them to tailor their experience with the brand. This interactivity means advertisers are more likely to generate a response or brand engagement.
“The creative potential for advertisers is huge. For example, a car manufacturer could run specifically designed online video content supported with a traditional TVC and a ‘find a dealer’ search tool. A FMCG client could choose to run two recipe videos with a downloadable fact sheet.”
The new product is available across News Digital Media’s network and has the capability for mass reach or niche targeting.
