Connect with local business with a few simple taps

Australia’s local search directory, truelocal.com.au, today launched a local search application designed for the Apple iPhone.

Available free from the lifestyle section of the Apple App Store (apple.com/iphone/appstore/) the TrueLocal App makes it easier than ever to find and connect with local businesses while on the go anywhere in Australia.

The Truelocal App search utilises the iPhone's GPS to determine where users are located and find businesses nearby. Users can search by business name or category.

Search results offer more detailed information when you touch on a business, including user Ratings & Reviews, phone numbers, address, payment options and business descriptions.

Features of the iPhone app include:

• Search results: All search results are displayed by relevance - there is no need to refine your search to find what you're after
• Did you mean: If you miss type or misspell a keyword or location the TL app has an auto suggest "Did you mean?" function to ensure your search results are as accurate as possible
• Business details: More in depth business details ensure you are better informed before deciding to do business. These pages offer you Ratings & Reviews, phone numbers, address, payment options and detailed descriptions
• Map of business location: Once you have tapped on the business details page you can link to Google Maps to locate the business
• Click to call: As the name suggests, a very simple function which allows you to call directly from the business details page -rather than typing in the phone number
• Ratings & Reviews: Read thousands of reviews written by people like you
• Share this business: Email the details of a favourite business to a friend
• Locate me: In an unfamiliar area? Tap on "Locate me" to see exactly where you are. Utilising the inbuilt GPS users of the TL app can update their location based on where they currently are.
