Who should be Carsguide’s Car of the Year for 2009?

Tell us who you think is best and win one year’s free fuel

Carsguide journalists across Australia have taken every car that was launched in 2009 through its paces.

Now it's time for the Australian public to pick the best and select the 2009 Carsguide People’s Choice winners. By voting on their favourite car and saying why they chose that car in 25 words or less, 14 lucky participants (2 in each state) will win 1 year’s free fuel from Coles Express.

“This year, we’ve split the People’s Choice into eight categories: best overall as voted by men, overall best car as voted by women, best family car, best first car, best commercial car, best prestige car, best SUV/4WD and best performance car.

For each of these categories we’ve selected five finalists for the public to choose a winner from,” said Paul Gover, the national motoring editor for News Limited. “Australians love their cars and for many it’s their prized possession.

The 2009 Carsguide People’s Choice Awards competition enables punters across the nation to become a critic and have their say on who should be recognised as the best.” “With a chance to win free fuel at Coles Express for a year there has never been a better time for people to log on and have their say on Australia’s favourite car,” Mr Gover said.

Last year’s ‘People’s Choice’ winner was the Ford Falcon G6E Turbo. For a chance to win free fuel for a year, individuals simply select one of the finalist cars as the 2009 ‘People’s Choice’ Carsguide Car of the Year at www.carsguide.com.au/coty by December 9.
