Ged Bulmer Appointed Managing Editor, Carsguide

The publisher of Carsguide, Sue Klose, today announced the appointment of Ged Bulmer as the company’s managing editor.

 In his new role Mr Bulmer will be responsible for editorial content and direction across the Carsguide portfolio of properties, including print, online and mobile. News Limited’s masthead motoring editorial team and online editorial team will report to Mr Bulmer.

More than 17,000 Carsguide readers have voted the Ford Falcon as Australia’s best car for the second year running.

After the polls closed on Wednesday this week, the Falcon narrowly beat Holden Special Vehicles GTS into second place – just 202 votes separated the top two places.

Further back in the field, the margin for third place was even slimmer with the Audi A6 TDI beating the Mazda 3 by 104 votes, with fourth placed Nissan GTR just 165 votes behind the Mazda.

News Limited chief operating officer, Peter Macourt, announced today the appointment of Sue Klose as publisher of a new national division in the company, Carsguide.

As publisher Ms Klose will be responsible for overseeing News Limited’s print and online automotive operations, and devising and implementing national editorial and marketing strategies.

Although not directly responsible for sales, Ms Klose will work closely with News Limited’s national sales director, Fiorella Di Santo, to ensure commercial operations are fully aligned with the new business.

There was also a 29% increase in searches carried out on used Luxury Cars for the same period.
